marluxia1980: What was the name of this cartoon?

Before I was even in Kindergarten, I use to watch a cartoon on Saturday but I can't remember the name of it!  All I remember is that the four main characters in it were a panda, a tiger, a mole and a raccoon.  They all use to hang around either a tree or a treehouse.  Does this ring a bell for anyone?  I know it's not much to go on but that's all I can remember.

Oh!  I think the panda's name was Pammy.  She was the only girl out of those four.

marluxia1980: Does anyone remember this?

Hi Everyone!  I just joined this community because I love the 80's!!  I'm 26 yrs. old and I grew up watching all of the great 80's cartoons and I still have a lot of the toys from that time.

I was just wondering if anyone here remembers this cartoon?  My sister and I use to watch this cartoon every Saturday morning.

The other day, I was watching "American Inventor" and I got to thinking and remembering about a couple books that I really, REALLY loved as a child.

But unfortunately, I think that over the years, they may have gotten lost or accidentally thrown out or given away by my parents, and for some reason, I can NOT seem to remember either the title or name of the author/authors, so even though I want to re-purchase them, I am having a REALLY hard time locating them, and I am hoping that maybe someone on here has these books and/or knows the title and/or the name of the author or authors and can help me out.

The first book was a big children's soft-cover paperback book (I think it was at least a couple hundred pages) about pet care. It had chapters/sections for each kind of pet, from the usual (dogs, cats, fish, etc.) to the unusual (exotic animals, reptiles, rodents, etc.) It was illustrated but the pictures were not actual photos, but cartoons. The book was about the different aspects of pet care, including feeding, training, medical issues, etc, and dealt with nearly all kinds of pets.

The second book was a big children's joke book, but it also had a section for inventions that "you wish existed" Mostly it was a joke/riddle book. But it had this chapter for crazy inventions.

If anyone can help me remember and/or find these books from the 1980's-1990's, I'd really appreciate it.

midiangod: SCARY

I turn 22 in 6 days on the 24th. Today I met a kid who is 13 years old. We were talkin and he looked at me utterly PUZZLED when I started talking about the house party movies and the origional Wacky Pakages. Then he told me what year he was born. 1993. 199 friggin 3! Here is a kid thats starting high school next year and he's never seen under the umbrella tree or nightbreed or full house or played pogs or NES or even listened to the spin doctors. I never thought about it, but the kids that werent born in the 80's at all are TEENAGERS now. I dont know about you guys, but doesnt that make you think about how much older were getting? I always felt like I was a youngin for being born in 84, now its weird to think about how long ago the late 80s-early 90's were.

Scary thought, and I never really realized it until today.

Thats why Im thankful for a community like this one. We are keeping alive our childhoods and the greatest era of pop culture in the history of america (in my opinion)

y_cant_i_be_you: Truely Outrageous!!!!

I just bought a Jem and the Hologram/Misfits CD set on ebay. 126 Songs!!!! I was looking for the show on DVD. Apparently it was released a while ago whithout me knowing (cause best belive I woulda bought that shit) and now it's out of print and $200 to buy! Well $100 apiece because it's seasons 1 & 2. That's how much AbFab on VHS was for the whole series. (And that I also don't have yet) God I WANT it!!! I belive a huge chunk of my adult personality is influenced by my childhood obsession of Jem. I can remember being like 5 or 6 and practicing my Jem make-up. Yes I wore make-up when I was that young, just not to school. I was always dressing up in this or that. LOL I still do that!!!
